We learnt about Microsoft Excel this week. Dr. Fariza asked us to create 40 names of students and we had to imagine ourselves as teachers so we need to key in their marks. It’s a tough job actually as I still can’t familiarize myself with the formulas in Microsoft Excel but well thanks to Dr. Fariza and fellow classmates, I think I can get the gist of how to use the formula (and there’s a guide in ge1155 forum so bonus for me!).
For week 10, we learnt about multimedia elements such as text, sound, video, animation and others. After finding out about these elements, we shared our findings in GE1155 forum. Then, Dr. Fariza gave us a new task which is to create a creative presentation by using Powtoon. Before this, I had no idea what Powtoon was but after the class, I was excited to do it because I love animation so much hahhaa.
INTERNET. CONNECTION. PROBLEM. IN. COMPUTER. LAB. Sigh…. It was no good sign. I was browsing the Web before Dr. Fariza entered but BAAMM! Suddenly cannot connect to the Internet. So when she arrived, we’re supposed to continue with the Google Form thingy as we’re a little bit left behind the T1 group, but with no internet connection, we couldn’t do anything. So, Dr. Fariza introduced us to Microsoft Publisher (doesn’t need internet to work). I’ve never used Microsoft Publisher before and I was amazed by the templates; class schedule, timetable, calendar, and even invitation card! We are required to do a brochure that relates to our topic, but we had to use the normal templates as we cannot connect to the Internet to find more interesting templates. Knowing about its functions, I made my calendar by using Microsoft Publisher and it turned out very well! I am so glad that I learn about this.
So it’s presentation week!! It’s been awhile since I did presentation in front of the class. I don’t know why I was stuttering while presenting my part, it’s probably because of the new classmates and the guys were looking (yes I tend to get nervous when guys are focusing on me). But well, at least our group has done something great; we raise our classmates’ awareness about internet and computer security and also about the importance of using original and licensed software (using pirated ones are considered a crime!)
For week 6, we had a flipped classroom as Dr. Fariza has gone to Japan. As many of us are confuse about how to use the Google Form, she has uploaded a tutorial on how to use it on iFolio and GE1155 website. With the help of the toturial, I can understand more about Google Form (but still don’t finish the questions hahaha).
This week we were exposed by Dr. Fariza about Google Form. I’ve never thought that the questionnaire can be done online, so it’s really fascinating. And it makes our life easier; we can obtain the results analysis without any hard work! So, she asked us to construct questions to be asked to other students about the topics given. But I was quite confuse about how to construct questions as I’m not good at creating questions hahaha.
